Vitafort Agro Asia Zrt. published a summary report on the three tied aid loan programs that have been successfully implemented in Laos between 2008 and 2023. The basic aim of the programs was to help the transition of agricultural in Laos from self-sufficiency to market production. The Hungarian assistance was primarily implemented through the transfer of know-how and technology, including the development of production and processing technologies and systems, and laboratory infrastructure for increasing food safety.

The report briefly presents the agricultural cooperation between Hungary and Laos based on several decades of tradition, and the outcomes of the three consecutive tied aid loan programs that have been the outstanding elements of the Hungarian Lao agriculture collaboration.  In addition to the presentation of the programs, the publication provides conclusions and proposals in order to promote the sustainability of the results of the projects and discusses the future possibilities of agricultural cooperation between Hungary and Laos.
